Casino Oceanus at Jai Alai About Reveals Our Design, Development and SJM Identity

Title for custom section

Casino Oceanus at Jai Alai About tells the story of a casino created around accessibility, distinctive design and a strong connection with the Outer Harbour area. We opened in 2009 close to the Macau Ferry Terminal, with an overhead connection helping integrate our property with this important transport gateway. The location has remained a defining feature of the Oceanus experience.

Our original casino development introduced more than 32,000 square metres of gaming space across three floors. Renowned casino architect Paul Steelman designed the property with an ocean-inspired concept. Cool blue shades inside are combined with warmer colours reminiscent of the sea and coral, while the exterior uses irregular membrane forms to create a multi-coloured bubble effect.

Casino Oceanus at Jai Alai About Our Evolution as an SJM Destination

Our property forms part of the SJM Resorts portfolio and continues to operate as one of SJM's directly managed casinos. The latest published operational figures available for 30 September 2025 recorded 209 mass-market gaming tables and 352 slot machines at Casino Oceanus at Jai Alai. These figures reflect the current scale reported in SJM's most recent detailed property disclosure.

The wider destination developed further with Jai Alai Hotel, which was added in 2017 and is connected to the casino complex. SJM currently lists the hotel with 132 rooms and suites. Dining venues, bars and other services add non-gaming choices for guests who want to spend more time within the Jai Alai Oceanus setting.

Casino Oceanus at Jai Alai About is ultimately centred on convenience and variety. Our combination of gaming, accommodation, food and beverage choices and proximity to a major ferry gateway allows guests to shape visits around their own schedules. We continue to operate within the wider SJM approach to hospitality, entertainment and responsible casino management.
